This poetry book is absolutly amazing. All of the poems have so many deeper meanings. I haven't even finished reading the book yet but I've already cried 3 times. My absolute favorite poems are, 'Hide', 'Iron', 'Metaphor', and 'Quotes'. I just got to page 100 of 248 but I can't wait to keep reading, and to keep reading them over and over again. The pages are stuffed full of sticky notes on my favorite poems. I am so happy that Gabbie embraced her passion and made something she is so proud of. This isn't like any "youtuber" book I've ever read, this is amazing, deep, thoughtful, and helpful. This isn't a story, or a biography, or an "all about me" book, it's everybodies life written into book form. It's what we all think about from day to day, but we always overlook or overthink these ideas. She has expressed them in a way everyone can relate to, it's peaceful and reading this has helped me discover who I really am. I don't think about other peoples opinions anymore. I'm going to smile more. Thank you Gabbie for giving me hope.

 I'm not even done with it yet but you can tell that Gabbie put her heart and soul into each and every poem. Some of them are so incredibly deep and others make me laugh so hard my stomach hurts i'm so proud of her and everything she's accomplished this past year! I love you Gabbie outstanding work!

As a 27 year old woman with a husband and child, I’m sure I don’t quite fit the demographic for Gabbie and her content. But none the less, I still enjoy watching and supporting her without much social media presence. This being said, I had originally pre-ordered the book with the thought of just supporting someone that I genuinely enjoy watching and most likely was going to just put the book on a shelf. Then her song, “Out Loud” dropped and I lost my sh**. When she said that it was based from some of the works in her book, I quickly realized I would be reading it from cover to cover. This is NOT a “typical YouTuber book” by any means. Her work is thought provoking, emotional, raw, and relatable on almost every level. This is definitely something that should be shared with friends and family and generations to come. This book has moved me from full on ugly crying to deep belly laughing and I’m not even finished.If you’ve ever experienced loss, rejection, felt less than enough, or have ever wondered why people are the way they are, I highly recommend this book.Congratulations to Gabbie for an excellent piece of work and I can only hope that one day there will be more!*I have included a picture of one of many of my favorite pieces*

"Unexpected" made me laugh a little because that's typically what I'm thinking when a Youtuber makes something; be it book, song, or whatever. It was a punchy opening to the book. Some of the poems are rather charming. One in particular that stuck out to me was Fair: "Life isn't fair, but it's unfair to everyone, so that's fair I guess". I love that. That stuck with me from last night into this morning I love it so much. There are quite a few poems in here that I really enjoy, like Dog, Continued, Hide, Catholic and Worry to name a few.Early on, "Sleep" made me completely regret my purchase and think dang I should have ordered a print copy so I could return it. I thought you know what I just don't read a lot of poetry let's give this a chance. I'm glad I did. I'm not a fan of the stylistic choices of using "u" and "bc" rather than spelling out the entire words. I mean for a book of millennial poetry I guess it's fitting, but it's just slightly obnoxious. To each their own, but it's a huge pet peeve for me. I have to take one star off because you use text message slang. It's driving me up a wall every time I see the slang, but it is so appropriate for the book. I wish it didn't send me into a blind rage so I could give this a 5.The illustrations are great. They have a cohesive style throughout the book and I think Gabbie picked works that really fit with the poems. The poem K wouldn't have worked without her style adding to it. Overall I like Adultolescence and think it's a strong first book of poetry. While I'm not a fan of sing-song types of poems like Sleep, in a way it really shows the juxtaposition of being in a place between adolescence and adulthood, so I can respect her thought process behind the theme and name of the book. Gabbie is not playing around with this. It's sassy, intelligent, and you can just tell so much thought went into every single thing she did. I can honestly say I've changed my mind. I wish I'd gotten a print copy because I'd proudly display this on my shelf.

Ahhhhh-mazing job done by the wonderful author Gabbie Hanna. I have followed her for awhile on vine and now YouTube. I have felt a connection to her since day one and this book reached down my soul and brought my appreciation for her to a new height. I relate so well to her writings in her poetry that it had me feeling and reliving an utter range of emotions. Also I'm simply in awe of her adorable illustrations that seem to work so perfectly throughout her writings. 10/10 highly recommend!

Like the previous reviewer,i was also employed for a car company.Over 30 yrs at GM. Mr. Vlasic's book is one of the only ones I have read lately that really captured the essence of what took place in the domestic auto industry over the last several decades,and more specifically ,what happened since 2005.It is an unbiased telling of a very important chapter in American history.The book is so well written,it was very difficult for me to put it down.Knowing many of the characters mentioned in the book made it that much more relevant and interseting. I've had the opportunity to have read pretty much every book that has been written about the Detroit car biz over the past decade,and I would put this one near the top for both storytelling,and an objective analysis of the ills and triumphs of the domestic auto industry.If you have even the slightest interest in the automotive business,and the people that run it,this book is a must read.

One of the BEST!I was so intrigued by the content of this book that I could not put it down. I read all night long. Very fascinating. Well written. Not biased. This is an account of the Big Three American automakers from Detroit, MI. Ford, General Motors and Chrysler are depicted in outstandingly vivid literary portraits with such artistic quality that it draws you deeply into the history of this era. It is an easy to read book. Highly recommended to anyone interested in the U.S. auto industry, especially during the recent economic recession.

Once Upon a Car: The Fall and Resurrection of America's Big Three Automakers--GM, Ford, and Chrysler, by Bill Vlasic, is mostly from the author’s interview notes talking with the leaders of the Big 3 and union leadership. It is also a story of recruiting key people and terminating people who could not leave the old way of working. The car industry is filled with Type A personalities with an abundance of testosterone. Colorful.Ford leadership, Ford family, and Ford relations with UAW comes out looking very goodGM and Chrysler and UAW not so good at every level.Private Equity is skewered in the book…and trusted by no one. Those feelings carried over to the 2012 defeat of Romney, in my view.Daimler/the Germans couldn't exit fast enough. They despised Chrysler's Blue Collar roots and crappy products.Government was more interested in theater beating up Detroit execs, and propping up the UAW voting base for 2008 election—and it workedDetroit, both company and union, were surprised at low level of respect…bordering on distain…at all levels of society. Sure sign of insular leadership. Arriving in the corporate jet with hat in hand for bailout monies was but one example of the deafness.It is a great read, and Vlasic is a fine story teller. How he comes up with the anecdotes which I take to be truthful and accurate is beyond me.

You know it is good when the book ends and you wish it didnt.The author brings to life a drama in American business that might otherwise be dry. I confess I am a "car guy" from way back so there is probably some fertile ground for this account to be enjoyed.I am also a lawyer. As such I have an appreciation for the roles the various players had legally, in particular the position of the creditors of these woebegon corporations. I was shocked at the difference between how the Bush adminstration handled the crisis from that of the Obama approach.For Bush and his people, there was a distance any creditor might have, a sense that the government had a role in preserving these institutions that supported so much of the economy. Lend some money, then see how it goes. It ended there.For Obama and his people being a creditor named The United States of America meant they could take over. I know of no other creditor who could usher the CEO of a corporation into the office one day and effectively fire him. I know of no other creditor that could go on television and give another corporation 30 days to make a deal with Fiat, ( thereby boosting the negotiating position of that Italian car maker immeasurably ) or DIE. I know of no other creditor who could bully the other creditors into taking less than what was owed. I admit they were going to get less anyway, but the idea of one creditor being able to force the issue seemed to run counter to the Rule of Law.The story of the negotiations of UAW, Chrysler and GM resembled a struggle in the cockpit for the controls while the plane flew into the mountain.Bill Ford and Allan Mulally look like the kind of corporate leadership this country needs repeated over and over in order to compete in the modern global economy. These guys are heros. My next car will be a Ford.

Lovely little book for curious minds we have been using this series for over a year and a half now, even though my son is just two (three soon) he loves to know how things work...very straight forward, nicely illustrated.

Life is indeed miraculous and beautiful and for little ones who are just beginning to learn about the wonders of metamorphosis in nature, this is an excellent introduction. The simple yet informative text by Wendy Pfeffer is enhanced by the beautiful, subtle hues in the watercolor illustrations of Holly Keller. My 6.5-year-old loved reading about the jelly-coated frogs' eggs, which in turn hatch into tadpoles, and of the amazing transformation that changes the tadpoles into frogs.This fun and educational Let's Read And Find Out Science Series is highly recommended for preschool - early elementary aged kids.

I had to get this book when I saw the title. My Grandson (5) loves frogs, and when I was a little girl I collected tad poles and watched them turn into frogs. This book explained how it all happens and the pictures made it easy for the kids to understand. Once again, I like them to learn something when they read, and my 6 year old granddaughter was able to read some of the book herself.

I'm a homeschooling mother and therefore I'm always on the look out for great educational books. Let me tell you, you can't go wrong with any of the books in this series. I've purchases all the books in stage 1 and have now moved on to level 2. The illustrations are fantastic, the information is clear and not too much. The book is written in a way that satisfies the curiosity of a first grader. Highly recommended!

We picked up some [invasive] bullfrog tadpoles and brought them to my son's class. This book was a lovely accompaniment for the little folks there. The ages were 3-6. They enjoyed reading this, or having it read to them- and they're even more excited about their giant tadpoles!

I wish I had read the reviews first. This calendar is a mini calendar first. Secondly, this calendar is bound like a book and not able to be used as a hanging calendar. Definitely disappointed, but hopefully I can still use it for something else.

I am so disappointed. I bought this for a friend for Christmas. It is cheap, and the pictures are blurry. It's a piece of trash. Don't be misled by the cover. The inside looks like it was printed on cheap, matte paper, using an old personal printer. Just terrible.

The calendar was smaller than most calendars which I didn't realize when ordering but that's not really a big deal. I gave it to my girlfriend as a Christmas present and she said it was the best gift she got all year. (She really loves baby goats)

I should have read reviews. I will keep it, since I did not do my due diligence. Not a quality product at all. I assumed like all other calendars it would have nice glossy pictures that were actually well taken. Let the buyer beware.

Antony C. Sutton (1925-2002) was born in London and educated at the universities of London, Gottingen and California. He was a Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution for War, Revolution, and Peace at Stanford, California, from 1968 to 1973, and later an Economics Professor at California State University, Los Angeles. Review of Antony Sutton’s Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution As an American libertarian, Sutton believes in individualism, competition, and laissez-faire economics unfettered by governmental meddling. These values seem very American, and one might presume that those who prospered most under these conditions would be champions of these same values. But though lip service may be paid to the ideal of an economy unfettered by government intervention, it seems the tycoons of Wall Street see the world very differently.“…it may be observed that both the extreme right and the extreme left of the conventional political spectrum are absolutely collectivist. The national socialist (for example, the fascist) and the international socialist (for example, the Communist) both recommend totalitarian politico-economic systems based on naked, unfettered political power and individual coercion. Both systems require monopoly control of society. While monopoly control of industries was once the objectives of J P Morgan and J D Rockefeller, by the late nineteenth century the inner sanctums of Wall Street understood that the most efficient way to gain an unchallenged monopoly was to ‘go political’ and make society go to work for the monopolists – under the name of the public good and the public interest.” P. 16 Whether it was in railroads or oil, the big tycoons learned that the surest way to maximize profits was through monopoly, and so they did their best to do away with competition. But an essential element to establishing and maintaining a monopoly was through influence of government. (In 1913 a private banking cartel was able to influence congress enough to establish the Federal Reserve, a privately held money monopoly.) Competition and democratic processes were obstacles to be overcome. The elite class, then, viewed economics and politics differently than the rest of us – and their perspective was not one they cared to be honest about.“Consequently, one barrier to mature understanding of recent history is the notion that all capitalists are the bitter and unswerving enemies of Marxists and socialists…. In fact, the idea is nonsense. There has been a continuing, albeit concealed, alliance between international political capitalists and international revolutionary socialists – to their mutual benefit. This alliance has gone unobserved largely because historians – with a few notable exceptions – have an unconscious Marxian bias and are thus locked into the impossibility of any such alliance existing. The open-minded reader should bear two clues in mind: monopoly capitalists are the bitter enemies of laissez-faire entrepreneurs; and, given the weaknesses of socialist central planning, the totalitarian socialist state is a perfect captive market for monopoly capitalists, if an alliance can be made with the socialist pawnbrokers. Suppose – and it is only hypothesis at this point – that American monopoly capitalists were able to reduce a planned socialist Russia to the status of a captive technical colony? Would not this be the logical twentieth-century internationalist extension of the Morgan railroad monopolies and the Rockefeller petroleum trust on the late nineteenth century?” P. 17 This is the context Sutton provides for understanding the underwriting of the Bolshevik Revolution by Wall Street financiers in 1917. He presents astounding assertions, but with strong evidence. And his evidence is very detailed. He doesn’t just summarize his findings in a historical narrative, but often has you reading original cables, letters, committee transcripts, and the like. Because of the sensitive nature of much of the evidence, it is amazing he has been able to uncover what he has. There were people in high places who would want to see these sorts of things suppressed, after all. What was it that motivated Wall Street financiers to become involved in the Russian revolution? Sutton examines the role of William Boyce Thompson, Federal Reserve Bank director who went to Russia in 1917.“From the total picture we can deduce that Thompson’s motives were primarily financial and commercial. Specifically, Thompson was interested in the Russian market, and how this market could be influenced, diverted, and captured for postwar exploitation by a Wall Street syndicate, or syndicates. Certainly Thompson viewed Germany as an enemy, but less a political enemy than an economic or a commercial enemy. German industry and German banking were the real enemy. To outwit Germany, Thompson was willing to place seed money on any political power vehicle that would achieve his objective. In other words, Thompson was an American imperialist fighting against German imperialism…” P. 97 Germany, at war with Russia at the time, also tried to influence the revolution. It is well established that the German government financed and organized “the return to Russia of Lenin and his party of exiled Bolsheviks, followed a few weeks later by a party of Mensheviks…” The dual German objectives were “(a) removal of Russia from the war, and (b) control of the postwar Russian market.” P. 169 Wall Street’s motivation for involvement in the Bolshevik Revolution had less to do than Germany’s as to the outcome of the world war, and more to do with the postwar Russian market.“Russia was then – and is today – the largest untapped market in the world. Moreover, Russia, then and now, constituted the greatest potential competitive threat to American industrial and financial supremacy.” P. 172“In the late nineteenth century, Morgan, Rockefeller, and Guggenheim had demonstrated their monopolistic proclivities. In Railroads and Regulation 1877-1916 Gabriel Kolko has demonstrated how the railroad owners, not the farmers, wanted state control of railroads in order to preserve their monopoly and abolish competition. So the simplest explanation of our evidence is that a syndicate of Wall Street financiers enlarged their monopoly ambitions and broadened horizons on a global scale.”“In other words, we are suggesting that the Bolshevik Revolution was an alliance of statists; statist revolutionaries and statist financiers aligned against the genuine revolutionary libertarian elements in Russia.” P. 173“The question now in the readers’ mind must be, were these bankers also secret Bolsheviks? No, of course not. The financiers were without ideology. It would be a gross misinterpretation to assume that assistance for the Bolsheviks was ideologically motivated in any narrow sense. The financiers were power-motivated and therefore assisted any political vehicle that would give them an entrée to power: Trotsky, Lenin, the tsar, Kolchak, Denikin – all received aid, more or less. All, that is, but those who wanted a truly free individualistic society.” P. 173-4 Money is power, and power corrupts. In reading this volume, as well as the other two books in the trilogy, Wall Street and FDR and Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler, the reader obtains a view of the profound influence big money has had on modern history. The big money players are without ideology, and without morals. The influence of big money continues to this day, and Sutton is the rare author who shows it to us for what it is.

Those who have been reading and commenting upon the literature of Nesta Webster, J Eger Hoover, and many others involved in the research of the occultist and materialist aspects of societies and coteries involved in the down fall of our civilization will be moderately by turns informed and disappointed in the information found in Sutton's expose. On the one hand Sutton's exposure of the various business involvements in base and puerile profit exploits, feeds quit well into the Marxist narrative of exploiter verses exploited manipulation we are treated to so often. Sutton well represents and documents the involvement of New York money interests such as J P Morgan and Citibank among others in the support of the Bolshevik take over of Russia. The author goes on to name many of the big businesses associated with Morgan such as guaranty trust and his manipulation of the New York chapter of the Red Cross in the interest of the Bolshevik takeover of the former tsarist regime. So far so good! However Sutton poo poo's the idea that Jewish secret continental involvement in and monetary support of elimination the Church in general and the Catholic Church in particular has anything to do with nothing more than profit motives of those involved in what is today an utterly disdainful hatred for any mention of Christ, not to mention erasure of Christian monuments world wide.Sutton is excellent in his documentation of the financial cabal, especially in New York, of the moneyed class in pursuit of profits, whether in support of the communists or in support of their foes. Sutton falls short of the analysis available to any scholar wishing to explore the foundations of this pernicious bacillus which extends to writings and documentation that goes far beyond simple money transactional schemes. I hope in the end this author will avail himself of the histories ( many have been written ) and the documentation that is readily available to round out what is an otherwise informative and engaging treatise.

I keep finding these books by Antony Sutton and I wonder why I have never heard of him or his work. This book explains in detail how the wall street devils with help from others in the government help to overthrow what was the first, rocky steps that Russia was taking towards a democratic society. I really wish they would have told us about this in high school. I recommend this book and all of Mr. Suttons books as they are clearly written and well researched (with evidence in the actual cable transcripts!)...unlike lots of over-hyped books of today.

I purchased this conglomeration of pieces, several which are duplicated in other Jim Brickman publications, specifically for the Patriotic Medley that was listed in the advertised table of contents. Hmm, there is no Patriotic Medley in this mess. There is a little twiddle on America the Beautiful and some other original tunes, some of which are not unique to this book. Jim Brickman fills his books with a few new things and then throws in selections from other collections. It seems impossible to get a book that isn't at least partially represented elsewhere. I wanted the advertised Patriotic Medley for a function this weekend but guess I will have to come up with the goods elsewhere. Jim Brickman has a few good riffs but his collections are a ripoff because of the gross amount of duplication.

Disappointed in the "patriotic" songs that were included but I do love the America the Beautiful arrangement. There are some other nice songs included - just wish there were more patriotic songs...

In order to comment, I had to rate this item. I ordered it for a Veteran's Day Program last fall. What I received was a mangled, opened, scarred envelope that the remainder of the mailing label had only my last name and zip code. It came in a plastic bag from the USPS with a form note saying "Sorry." There was no invoice or book received by me. I filed a lost /search witht he PO and followed up several times at the local post office with no results. Therefore, I liked the book and contents I ordered; I just wish I'd received it. I understand that the seller sent it in good faith...I just didn't get my book.
