A well-laid out book covering most of the hikes in the area. Good descriptions of routes. I really like the routes shown on official topog base maps for easy reference. The book may be more useful for someone with at least some back-country hiking experience but this does not take away from the overall value of the book. Future editions could be improved by noting compass directions on routes instead of just "turn right" or "turn left" or "go straight" descriptions. Readers would also appreciate information such as vertical distances to/from and GPS coordinates at specific landmarks, etc. Still a very good and recommended guide book.
