This book is adorable & simple. I got it for my 2.5 year old Cars fanatic. The pictures glow in the dark! It’s now part of our bedtime routine, we read him a story while propping this book up to soak up light, then we hand it to him and he looks through it with joy while he lies in bed and falls asleep. It’s something he looks forward to every night. I didn’t even realize it what it did when I bought it! So it was such a bonus when we discovered it glows in the dark.
This book is perfect, its cheap, and very short, like others have said, it lacks story, but it's the perfect "okay ONE more book before bed" because it takes a whole 1 minute to read...if you go slowly.
This book is extremely short! I'm sure it says that somewhere on the description, but I didn't look into it much since my son is obsessed with Lightning McQueen, I just jumped the gun. Not a big deal, he just turned 2 so he just makes me read it 2 or 3 times before we can move onto the next book in the line up. It's been a fun book for him to flip through in the car when we are driving at night as well! Love that it's a cardboard book and it's definitely high quality, just wish it was like twice as long. Oh well! I'd still buy it again.
There is not much of a story but the glowing pages make up for that. It glows great!! We used a crank flashlight for a few seconds and it was very cool. My 3yr old twins love it.
VERY simple book. There is no real story line to it and it can be read in less than two minutes. Also, doesn't glow no matter how long it sits in the light prior. My son who is obsessed with Disney Cars likes the picture and its works for a quick book before bed, but definitely not to keep their attention.
This is my four year old grandson's favorite book. His Mom reads it to him every night and he has all of the words memorized. The glow-in-the-dark factor is what makes this book so special. He loves Disney Pixar Cars and we find that reading this to him at night, and more than once per his request, helps him settle down to go to sleep. I highly recommend it.
The front cover glows great, but then you have to hold each of the interior pages to the light in order for them to glow. And then it is not very bright. Also, none of the words glow in the dark. so you can't really read the book in the dark. you would need to read each page in the light, then turn off the light to see the pictures faintly glowing. Sending back.
For young fans of Disney cars, this is a cute short story that features some of my grandson's favorite cars, although it's a challenge to get the figures on the pages to actually glow in the dark -- you need to set the book up next to a bright window or light and splay out the pages to absorb light, and then immediately go into a darkened space to enjoy this feature. Then I just make up my own story to go with each page and we both enjoy it that way.
