I consider myself a solid middle of the road piano player. Not a beginner but definitely not an expert. In terms of skiing, I like the blue runs of piano/vocal music -- this book fits the bill perfectly. I can play through it by sight but it sounds good and challenges me enough to think but not get frustrated. Great arrangements in singable (mostly) keys.

Not nearly as good as the piano/vocal book published in the 80's and 90's. I had to have my parents find my old piano book at their house.

This book has about fourteen songs, it is not the complete set so do not buy this if you want to play every song. The song are beautiful and heartfelt. The difficulty depends on your skill level, it's the same as any other musical piano scoring like Beauty and the Beast etc in which they add some little things to make it sound fuller. If you're not a diehard and just an admiring fan like me than these songs will be enough. Once again they are magnificently arranged, and included are pictures and the storyline from the broadway musical.

My vocal instructor had me purchase this, as well as the Phatom of the Opera one. The accompaniment chord markings above the vocal and piano accompaniment bars, are helpful for those who play and/or accompany by chords rather than reading the piano accompaniment. The lovely piano accompaniment, however, is not too difficult.

Excellent quality book, excellent score. Absolutely lives up to expectations. Recommended for Intermediate to Advanced piano players. Songs are not difficult to learn, as they very closely match the original score.

A good book, however keep in mind that the pieces are challenging. I'm level 9 CM and I need to practice before I'm able to decently play it.However once you're able to play it the pieces sound amazing :)P.S. Although I don't have much knowledge on the vocal part since I'm a piano player I can say that it's more suitable for Sopranos.

This music is so gorgeous. Surprisingly, it is not as difficult to play as I thought it would be. I don't notice the songs being in different keys than the original, but some of them might be in a key that is a little less difficult to sing than the original. I have noticed a few of the songs I wish were there are not. I was hoping it would have the "Look Down" song, but it is not included. Other than that, I have really enjoyed playing the music, and bringing back all the wonderful memories of the play into our home.

Has all the main songs, and they're written nicely for voice and piano.

I bought this book, because I am a Food Science major with a minor in Chemistry. This book discusses the scientific and technical aspect of making various types of candy. It broaches the topics that are vital to the confectionery industry such as coloring, flavoring, manufacturing equipment, etc. I cherish this book immensely. Buy it, and you will not regret it.

This is one of a handful of books I own that I recommend to people only under careful consideration. If you enjoy food science, have a working familiarity with high school or low level college chemistry, and are the sort of person who would consider making your own fireworks or mixing your own fertilizer from mail order chemicals than this book is for you! It is extremely well written and well within reach of anyone who wants to understand it. There are several chemical equations shown, as well as some chemically and thermodynamically complex processes well explained. Again, if that sounds like a good thing, this is a great book. However if that sounds like to much work, go look to something that is more of a recipe book, like "Who Wants Candy?".

A very interesting and informative book about all aspects of sweets and sweeteners. different ingredients, chemistry, flavouring etc etc. Too scientific for the general consumer but a gold mine for those who are familiar with basics in chemistry and biochemistry. And what about a sugar-free future?

I enjoyed reading the book and learn a lot about sugar confectionery. The book is easy to read; good explainations and drawing make the learning much faster.

I didn't read this book when it first came out , I didn't have the interest. However, we lost our youngest daughter to suicide 16 months ago. When friends of mine saw the movie, they posted on fb how good it was. I decide I would read the book. My heart has ached for the things written in this book. God is good, and healing comes as we forgive and give God the things we cannot control. This is a wonderful book I would recommend to anyone. I'm so glad I read it.

I, a long-time born-again believer, was warned NOT to read this book by brothers and sister in the Faith. For many months, I heeded their "wisdom"; I'm not usually a submissive person to others, so, I was proud of myself for listening. I didn't even listen to "Restoring The Shack" on tv, so as not to be tempted or swayed--until yesterday. Then, I had to buy this book. I've never feared reading any book in my life; in fact, I've always loved and consumed as many as I could get my hands on since before I could read. So, I found it--and myself--absurd in NOT reading it! No book could ever change my Faith in Jesus, nothing is a threat to that, and I was raised with all kinds of knowledge of other religions, superstitions, and even occult things. So, I KNOW lies when I hear them. As a result, I've just finished reading The Shack. Talk about perfect timing! All it did was reinforce what I already know for many years, and the author put into words what I could never express. THANK YOU! I'll be encouraging others to read it. God bless!

I chose a 5 star rating because that is the highest rating you can give on Amazon. The Shack truly deserves more, much more. After reading this book I feel extremely blessed that God chose me to read it. The way this book is written really hits home, if you are having doubts about your faith then this is the book that will help you find a way to seek out God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Probably the worst book I have ever read! The overall message will turn me away from, not toward, God and religion. SPOILER ALERT: Yes, as a parent, one would still most likely love their child even if they committed a heinous act. But also, as a parent, if you can see your child about to commit a heinous act or acts and you have the power to stop it, but do not, you are the worst possible kind of parent and as culpable as the child regarding the act! Shame on anyone who thinks that any reprehensible act should be forgivable. I am appalled that so many people think the book has a positive message! It made me angry and terrified at what the world has become.

I have read this book twice...it is very helpful to people stuck in unforgiveness...it is theologically edgy but IMHO not in what is stated but in what is omitted...But in fairness the book is aimed at a singular issue and not intended to be a 'book of theology.' It's sole purpose is to help people see that God as love in our suffering rather than one distant and harsh. It also points clearly to the necessity of forgiving others in order to go forward in our relationship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Also IMHO it beautifully portrays the different aspects of a living relationship with each.

Loved the book, then went to see the movie. Slightly different ending in the movie, but lovely story. Please do yourself a favor and read the book and see the movie. I think you will be glad you did. Forgiveness of others and especially of self are big themes along with a new perspective on your view of who God is. Get to meet Jesus and the Holy Spirit for a humorous and poignant story.

This book was more than I expected in a good way. The timing of it was wonderful (I didn't realize there was a movie in the making as well) but it offered a lot of insight and affirmed a lot of my own questions. Helped me through a personal struggle with myself, my role as a wife and mother among my other roles and gave me amazing insight and internal motivation. Definitely planted a seed in my heart. Great read.

The Shack first came into my life as the movie. Watching the movie earlier this Year touched my heart during a time when I was moving into a new chapter of my life or should I say chapters. Almost eleven years since I've lost my husband and two years since retirement. The Shack is so brilliantly written and enhances my faith in "Papa". Everyone who has lost a love one or been touched by the life of someone who has lost a love one should read this book. Everyone who has questions about having a relationship with God should read this book. I had to read the book after the movie. Of course, I wish it were the other way around. Everyone should read this book. I shall read it again and again. Thank you for this amazing work of art.
